1st International Jamboree/2nd Mongolian National Venture

On behalf of the Scout Association of Mongolia, we would like to invite your National Scout Organization to participate in their 1st International Jamboree/2nd Mongolian National Venture from 27 July – 3 August 2012.

Information about this Jamboree is as follows:


Date: 27 July – 3 August 2012


Participants are requested to arrive on 26 July and leave the Jamboree
site on 4 August 2012.

Venue: Scout Adventure Camp
About 65 kilometres Northwest from Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.

Fee: US$ 150.00
The fee covers food rations, activities, Jamboree Souvenirs, insurance and inland transportation between airport and Jamboree site.

Participants: 1,000 Scouts and leaders from all over the country with overseas participants

Eligibility: Young people (Boys and Girls) aged 12 - 17 and adult leaders

Personal equipment: Participants should bring tent, sleeping bag, and rain wear, camping gear and eating utensils, and other personal items are the responsibilities of each participants.
International The Venture will have over 100 Scout Leaders working as IST.

Service Team: Interested and qualified Scout Leaders are welcome to be part of the IST.
A registration fee of US$150.00 shall be charged each member to cover the cost of meals, souvenir items and other issuances, and transportation from the airport to camp and back.

Travelling to Mongolia: Participants can arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by direct flight from Berlin (Germany), Moscow (Russia), Seoul (Korea), Osaka and Tokyo (Japan), and Beijing (China) and Hong Kong and train from Moscow (Trans Siberian Train) and Beijing.

Weather: The Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar in July has a more comfortable temperature, which is at an average of 16°C (62°F).

Visa: All participants should obtain an entry visa before travelling to Mongolia from the Mongolian Embassy or Consulate in most capital cities. Visas may also be obtained upon arrival at the Mongolian border or international airport. The Scout Association of Mongolia will provide invitation letter.
